Xmas Morning

We woke up at 530 this morning cuz dad had to go to work at 7, we opened presents, than headed off ot my mama's to have breakfast and presents. We were back home by 10 am and just played games all day! A very nice relaxing Christmas!

Xmas at Uncle Don's

This year is a very special year in our lives. A year ago our family was missing our Uncle Don. He was over in Afghanistan fighting for his life. He is a Lt. Colonel in the United States Army and we are very proud of him He really is the glue that holds our family together and Last year was a very somber year without him. He does not take this lightly, he had two attacks on him while he was over there and he had a mission to go on in a humvee and for whatever reason, he was called off of it and replaced with another soldier. Their Humvee was attacked and all on board were killed. We are so blessed to have him back and safe! Also Peter and Tom were back from college as well! So this year Uncle Don held a beautiful xmas at his house. TONS of food, family, and drinks. Christmas is also Uncle Don's bday so we were able to celebrate it as well! Aunt Chris(his wife) also learned how to play the piano and we all sat around and sang. It was such a wonderful evening. At the end, while we were cleaning up someone said we have to have "clean up shots" so thus began "half way done with cleaning shots", and "3/4 of the way of being done with cleaning shots" and finally "done with clean up shot" I was out of this cuz I cannot hang like that plus I was the DD. Again we are so blessed and happy to have had all our family under one roof again!

Christmas at dad's

We celebrated our first xmas at Sam's dad's house on Wed Dec 23. That day worked out best for all of us. That day I had work and really thought I would be off at about noon, however I didnt end up getting off til 445 and luckily the house I was sitting at was right next to my father in laws, thank goodness cuz it started at 5, so it was all good! We had a great dinner of sloppy Joe's and tater tots, and than exchanged presents. The girls get the best stuff from their grandparents and I now remember why we have never gotten anything for them! Keagan got a bow and arrow(nerf) set with a blow up deer, keyboard, pjs, and a camou hat, Presley got a bow and mellow set, it shoots marshmellows, she got a huge doll house and hat, gloves, and sweatshirt. we than made popcorn balls and waited for the Igeleke's to come over and visit. they are long time friends of the family and we get to see them only once a year since they live in several random states. We ended the night with the usual Hangover!!!(Sam and I have watched that movie everynight since we bought it a week ago! BEST MOVIE) It was a great night of family and friends and food!

A horse

Keagan draws every day and I am not exaggerating, her thing for the past few months is to draw, and she does it for like hours!! . At the end of the day she gives me a pile of papers of her drawings and writings. I can not keep them all, so I took a picture of a few I thought were neat. I can not believe she drew a picture of a horse. (I cant even somewhat draw a horse), than she drew a picture of a pony,(the yellow and pink one) than she drew a book and her most favorite words, Mom I love Keagan!! So proud of my monkey!

Christmas tree decorating!!

In our family its tradition to go shopping for a xmas tree the week of my birthday! We love it! Last year it was the day it was snowing ... this year completely opposite, it was actually warm out. We let the girls pick the tree, Dad and I take it home to try to get it in the stand upright and not crooked, dad makes dinner, and we decorate. It took us like 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. We had a great time, eating, decorating and watching Madagascar christmas! Another tradition is we get a new ornament for the family and each person gets one as well. Keagan picked a red berry heart, Presley picked a santa, daddy picked a deer bell(no surprise) and I picked a snowman. For our family one we picked a frame and put our new family photo in it. I love having a live tree in the house.. it smells so yummy!!!

Thanksgiving!~

This year we went to Sam's dads in the morning and than my moms for the afternoon! It was the best turkey day ever, lots of food, fun, and most of all family! Presley started the day off rough, she was in a horrible mood, but Sam and I did not let it bother us at all, we threw her in a room with spongebob and let her calm down. We watched football, made food, and grubbed. Than went to my mamas, its always a blast when me and the siblings get together, we chatted, wrestled and of course had to end the night with a dance concert! the food was great but the company was even better! I love you so much family and am soo thankful for you all! video

our day out...

The other day Sam and I took the girls out for sushi, and to the Bass Pro shop. It was alot of fun cuz the girls are getting brave and trying some of the sushi! Keagan ventured out and tried edamame's and Presley tried a california roll! The girls loved them and of course had their usual green tea ice cream. Sam and I order something completely weird to try each time, so far we have had octopus, sea urchin(extremely nasty), eel, and this time I picked some sort of fish eggs, they were orange and popped in our mouths when we ate them, not too bad! At the Bass Pro shop the girls had soo much fun with the little elves workshops and of course we had to stop at each one and play!!
